楽器材の湿度について (Moisture Content)
当社の楽器用セットの含水率は通常 8～10% ですが、空気中の湿度によって変動する場合があります。倉庫内の自然な空気環境で保管しているため、使用前にお客様の作業環境にしっかりと馴染ませてから加工してください。
材木の含水率と乾燥について (Moisture Content & Drying Information)
当社の木材は、主に枯れて倒れた木や、何年も森に放置されていた木から伐採されています。乾燥してすぐに使えるものもあれば、まだ湿っていてさらに乾燥が必要なものもあります。すべての木材が異なる含水率を持っており、すぐに使用できるかどうかは木材によって異なります。
簡単な乾燥方法:
- 木材の周囲に空気が流れるように配置する
- 小さな木材は、割り箸（平たいタイプ）を下と上に挟み、重りを乗せて乾燥させる
- 風通しの良い場所に置く
- 暖房のある室内で乾燥させるのも効果的
- ファンを使い、空気を循環させる
- 木材の動きを最小限に抑えるために、上から重しを乗せる
- 厚さ20～30mmの木材なら、湿気の少ない換気の良い環境で約2ヶ月ほどで使用可能になります
ウエスタン・レッド・シダーは「乾燥が比較的容易で、温かい音色を持つ木材」として高く評価されています。
