4ピース構成について

含水率と乾燥について

当社の木材は、主に枯れて倒れた木や、森の中で何年も自然乾燥されていた木を使用しています。
乾燥してすぐに使えるものもあれば、まだ湿り気を帯びており、追加の乾燥が必要なものもあります。
木材ごとに含水率は異なりますが、ハワイアンコアは自宅や工房でも簡単に乾燥が可能です。

簡単な乾燥方法:
・木材の周囲に空気が流れるように配置する
・小さな木材は、割り箸（平たいタイプ）を下と上に挟み、重りを乗せて乾燥させる
・風通しの良い場所に置く
・暖房のある室内で乾燥させるのも効果的
・ファンを使い、空気を循環させる
・木材の動きを最小限に抑えるために、上から重しを乗せる
・厚さ20〜30mmの木材なら、湿気の少ない換気の良い環境で約2ヶ月ほどで使用可能になります

ハワイアンコアはウォールナットと同様に乾燥が容易で、
ひび割れや反りが起こりにくい木材として知られています。

• 5A+: UBER-Master → Ultra-rare, exceptional curl

Moisture Content & Drying Information

• Ensure airflow all around the wood
• Use flat wood chopsticks under and over it to allow air circulation
• Place in a well-ventilated or heated area to speed up drying
• Use a fan to push air over it consistently
• Weigh the wood down to reduce movement as it dries
• For 2030mm thick pieces, drying takes around 2 months in a ventilated, non-humid space
