フランスのジャズ・ピアニスト、作曲家のクロード・ボーリングが手掛けた映画音楽の中から自身が選び抜いた27曲をピアノソロで演奏した作品。これまでに100本以上の映画音楽を作曲、なかでもジャン＝ポール・ベルモンド、アラン・ドロン出演の1970年公開のフランス映画「ボルサリーノ」はご存知の方も多いはず。このアルバムでも同映画から３曲をピアノソロで披露。ジャズとクラシック両方への造詣の深さが感じられるボーリングの作曲のセンス、軽快なタッチのピアノからオリジナルは分からずとも楽しめる仕上がりに。
