カードのデザインは、カル・シェンケル制作のコラージュに日本のデザイナー梅村昇史氏が手を加えたものです。
このコラージュは、MSIが「フランク・ザッパ ブロードウエイ・ザ・ハードウエイ」の日本盤CDを発売した際、CDに添付した「ブロードウエイ・ザ・ハードウエイの本」に使用したものです。
このザッパの図書カードセットには、ノルウェーのザッパ・ファン・クラブ「ザッパ・ソサエティ」が特別に書き下ろした、「フランク・ザッパ ブロードウエイ・ザ・ハードウエイ・1988 ワールド・ツアーのコンサート・レポート」(全13ページ)が付いています。

Produced by MSI, the first company to release a Frank Zappa CD in Japan.
Produced by MSI specifically for sales promotion purposes, with only a limited number given to those involved.
Two types of 500 yen cards.
The card design is a collage created by Cal Schenkel, with additional modifications by Japanese designer Noboru Umemura.
This collage was used in the "Broadway the Hardway Book" that was included with the Japanese CD release of "Frank Zappa Broadway the Hardway" by MSI.
This Zappa library card set comes with a 13-page concert report from the Frank Zappa Broadway The Hardway 1988 World Tour, specially written by the Norwegian Zappa fan club, the Zappa Society.
