1987 private piece by Lauri Paisley, a female electronic musician and multi-instrumentalist based in New Jersey. This album centers around the grand piano, featuring 9 tracks ranging from modern classical-inspired pieces to electronic compositions. Particularly outstanding are “The Fire Of Dreams” where a flowing piano is played wistfully and enveloped by delicate synths, and “Imagicana” which unfolds imaginatively and dynamically. The entire album is well worth a listen. While other cassette releases are also being reevaluated and have become hard to find, it seems she disappeared from the scene around 1990, citing a lack of success.
米ニュージャージーを拠点に活動していた女性電子音楽家/マルチ奏者Lauri Paisleyによる87年の自主制作盤。本作ではグランドピアノを軸にしながらモダンクラシカルな雰囲気漂う楽曲から独創的なエレクトロニクスまで全9曲を収録。中でも女性らしい流麗なピアノが物憂げに弾かれ淡いシンセが包み込む”The Fire Of Dreams”、イマジネイティブにダイナミックに展開していく”Imagicana”は秀逸。全編聴き応えあります。その他のカセットリリースも再評価され入手困難となっていますが、90年を境に成功の欠如を理由にシーンから姿を消したようです。
